What is NovaDine™?NovaDine™ is an online sales and marketing system designed exclusively for restaurants. NovaDine™ allows restaurants to offer online ordering to customers for take-out and delivery. The NovaDine™ system includes a patent pending Group Ordering feature that allows restaurants to further enhance their appeal to office and catering business. Do I need to have an active website before signing up?No, the NovaDine system includes a custom, easy to update, professional quality website to reflect your restaurant's image. You will simply need to choose a layout and provide the graphics! If you already have a website, the NovaDine system can easily integrate into it. If you do not have a domain registered, we can provide you with instructions or register one for you. What POS providers are you currently integrated with?We are integrated with Maitre'D, Xpient, Diamond Touch, Firefly, POSitouch and are in development on Micros and Aloha. if you do not see your POS provider listed above, we are always looking to expand! Can a customer use the “Cash” option when placing a Group Order? Payment by credit card is the only option available for Group Ordering, as the design of the Group Order process requires it. Group Ordering was designed to simplify the ordering process for a group, including the payment process. The originator can choose to pay for the entire order with a credit card or to start an "everyone pays for their own" order. Regardless of the payment method selected, the order is then automatically finalized at the proper time and delivered to the restaurant as one order, with each invitee's food items grouped under their name. How does Group Ordering work?A Group Order is started by one person, the originator. The originator invites others (invitees) by adding email addresses to a field on the order invitation screen. The originator will select a payment option before the invitations to the order are sent. The originator has the option of paying for the entire order and giving each individual a preset spending limit, or letting each invitee pay for their individual order. Each invitee will receive an email invitation to the order and place their orders according to how the originator set it up. How will the orders be delivered to the restaurant if the internet is temporarily down?The NovaDine system was designed so that no orders will be missed. The system employs 'hand shake' technology to detect if a restaurant's internet connection is down and will automatically fax the order to the restaurant. Our Technical Support staff will also be notified and will call to confirm that the order has been received at the location. In addition, the system can send a notification via text message that a fax order has been sent to the restaurant. How does payment using a credit card work?The charge is processed securely through the site via a merchant account and internet payment gateway. You may setup your own E-Commerce account with your current merchant provider or use the NovaDine E-Commerce account. Please contact us at

What steps need to be taken before I can begin receiving internet orders via NovaDine?The NovaDine team will begin the account setup once a signed contract and deposit is received. The timeline for activation can vary depending on what is needed for your setup. This timeline will be outlined by the NovaDine Project Coordinator assigned to you. Does the NovaDine service require any special hardware or software?The NovaDine Agent and Logmein program will need to be installed for any method other than fax. If you opt to use a computer, a high-speed connection is required. The computer will need to have speakers, monitor and printer. If you opt to use a fax machine, it should be a designated phone line (not used for voice calls). How much does the service cost?The NovaDine Sales and Marketing System is affordable for single restaurants and multi-unit operations as well. Prices vary slightly based on your individual needs. for a quote. How are orders sent to my restaurant?Orders can be sent to your restaurant via a computer, fax machine or POS system. If using a computer, orders will be received and automatically printed by the NovaDine Agent program running on your computer. POS Integrated locations will receive the orders directly into the POS system as if someone had entered in a phone order. Fax notification is also available for an additional fee if the previous options are not available. Is NovaDine available outside of the US?NovaDine is currently available in Canada with other countries being added in the fall of 2009. Is the system easy to use?Yes! NovaDine manages the process from start to finish including the setup and configuration of the menu, delivery area and store hours. To ensure a smooth launch, NovaDine provides live instructor led training for every store. Once active, advanced management controls allow you to change the menu, pricing, and delivery time on the fly.
